Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure the dental operatory is fully stocked.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, preventative care, and post-operative instructions.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and OSHA standards.
- Take and develop dental x-rays (radiographs) and impressions accurately.
- Manage patient records, update dental charts, and schedule follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus but not required.
