Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patient calls and visits to determine medical urgency and prioritize care
- Provide accurate clinical guidance over phone triage lines
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
- Document all assessments and interventions in electronic health records
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases appropriately
- Educate patients on symptoms, home care, and when to seek emergency care
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress situations
