Responsibilities
- Process and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Prepare medication for patient pickup, ensuring proper labeling and safety checks.
- Assist patients with insurance inquiries, prior authorizations, and co-pay processing.
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and perform monthly stock counts.
- Operate pharmacy software systems and handle returns or refunds.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers regarding medication questions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
- Willingness to obtain or already hold a Pharmacy Technician license (training provided if not).
- A positive attitude and a desire to learn within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
