Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing team.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks related to patient care.
- Transport patients to medical appointments or recreational activities.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the direction of a nurse.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical stamina to lift and assist patients as required.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
