Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor client health status and report any changes, symptoms, or concerns to the supervising nurse.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding according to specific dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry tasks essential to the client's living environment.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community outings.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate daily logs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Current North Carolina Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License and reliable personal transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy.
- CPR and Basic First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
