Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing, to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Transport clients to and from medical appointments or social activities using a personal vehicle.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and recreational activities.
- Administer medication reminders as directed by the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is highly desirable.
- Current valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor when interacting with patients.
