As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, and providing the companionship they need. We offer flexible scheduling, ongoing training, and a benefits package that includes health insurance and paid time off.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Mobility Support: Help patients move around the home safely, including transferring from bed to chair or using walkers/crutches.
- Medication Reminders: Monitor and remind clients to take prescribed medications on schedule.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients, including meal preparation and light laundry.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, social activities, and light exercises to promote mental well-being.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record vital signs such as weight, temperature, and blood pressure as required.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely logs of care provided and client condition.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience as a CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide is preferred but not required for motivated candidates.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Valid CNA/HA certification (if applicable) is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle are required for home visits.
- Clean Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- First Aid/CPR: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly desirable.
