Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections
- Process and handle specimens following CLIA/HIPAA protocols
- Verify patient identity and prepare specimens for testing
- Maintain sterile equipment and organized workstations
- Document procedures using EMR systems
- Provide exceptional patient care during collection
- Collaborate with lab and clinical teams
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or NHA)
- 1+ years clinical blood draw experience
- Texas state phlebotomy license
- Excellent venipuncture skills in all age groups
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- EMR system proficiency
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
