Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Verify patient identification and medical records
- Operate laboratory equipment (centrifuge, analyzers)
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with lab staff for efficient specimen processing
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Phlebotomy certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Texas driver's license for mobile services
