Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor patients' vital signs and document surgical events
- Manage inventory and restock supplies in operating rooms
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and Joint Commission standards
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 2 years recent operating room experience
- BLS/CPR certification
- Familiarity with orthopedic/general surgery procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique adherence
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
