Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned clinical specialty (ER, ICU, Telemetry, etc.)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per facility protocols
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EMR systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and facility-specific regulations
- Participate in rapid-response codes and emergency situations
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in specialty area
- BLS/ACLS certifications required; PALS/NRP preferred based on unit
- BSN preferred (ADN accepted with experience)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (days/nights/weekends)
- Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
