Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize critical cases in high-pressure environments
- Document clinical observations accurately in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Provide clear patient education and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and CMS regulations
- Lead triage team during peak volume periods
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA BRN)
- Minimum 2 years ED/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency with electronic health records
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- BSN degree preferred
