Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care urgency using established protocols
- Provide clear, compassionate guidance to patients via phone and in-person triage
- Collaborate with physicians to coordinate appropriate patient care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Implement infection control and safety standards in all interactions
- Manage high-volume patient inquiries during peak hours
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Missouri (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Proficiency in EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress situations
