Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and secure messaging triage assessments to evaluate patient symptoms and medical histories.
- Provide expert clinical decision-making to determine the appropriate level of care, including advising self-care, recommending physician visits, or dispatching emergency services.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately and in real-time within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, medication management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Adhere to strict HIPAA regulations and company protocols to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical triage, telehealth, or urgent care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and clarity.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
