Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process, label, and transport specimens according to CLIA and HIPAA standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure sterile techniques and infection control compliance
- Collaborate with medical team for efficient patient flow
- Train new staff on phlebotomy procedures
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- 1+ years clinical experience in venipuncture
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and lab safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings
- Basic computer proficiency for EMR systems
