As a vital member of our care coordination team, you'll be the first point of contact for patients experiencing medical emergencies. Your critical thinking and calm demeanor will shape patient outcomes while working alongside board-certified physicians and specialists.
Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patient calls using standardized triage protocols
- Provide urgent medical advice and determine appropriate care level
- Coordinate with ER physicians and specialists for critical cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Implement crisis intervention protocols for psychiatric emergencies
- Train new triage staff on department protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (required)
- Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience
- TAS or EMT triage certification (preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic or similar EHR systems
- Strong telehealth communication abilities
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
