Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorative treatments
- Manage patient flow and chairside support with precision and efficiency
- Execute digital radiography and intraoral imaging using advanced equipment
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Train new assistants on practice protocols and technology systems
- Coordinate lab cases and digital dentistry workflows
- Perform expanded functions under dentist supervision as permitted
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA credential required
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Expertise in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of Michigan dental regulations and HIPAA compliance
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in high-volume practice setting
- Experience with dental implants and orthodontic procedures preferred
