Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance for complex dental procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical cases
- Implementing strict sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Managing digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Leading patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Overseeing inventory management and supply ordering
- Training new dental assistants on clinic protocols and software
- Coordinating with insurance providers for pre-approvals
- Maintaining accurate digital patient records in Dentrix/Eaglesoft
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer certification required
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CDA or DALEF certification preferred
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-volume setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy protocols
