Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, implants, and restorative treatments
- Perform digital radiography and intraoral imaging using advanced equipment
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization processes
- Deliver patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Oversee dental inventory ordering and supply management
- Train and mentor new assistant team members
- Operate practice management software (Epic, Dentrix)
Qualifications
- Current NY State Dental Assistant Radiology License
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CDA or DANB certification preferred
- Proficiency in digital imaging and dental software
- CPR/BLS certification
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
