Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Manage digital radiography systems (DEXIS/Sirona) and intraoral cameras
- Implement OSHA/CDC sterilization protocols and infection control measures
- Train new assistants on practice workflows and software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for specialized procedures
- Deliver patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
Qualifications
- CDA or RDA certification required
- Minimum 3 years chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and X-ray license
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- Spanish bilingual preferred
