Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications with precision and efficiency
- Manage inventory control systems and pharmaceutical supply chains
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Ensure strict compliance with FDA and DEA regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years hospital/pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
