Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and auditing pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing systems
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education on medication usage
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, including DEA requirements
- Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians on standard procedures
- Operate pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) and automated dispensing systems
Qualifications
- Active Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification preferred
- Experience with sterile compounding a plus
