Responsibilities
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure accurate prescription dispensing in compliance with DEA/NV Board regulations
- Manage inventory control systems, including automated dispensing technology and controlled substance documentation
- Train staff on new medications, protocols, and HIPAA-compliant software systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize medication therapy management and patient safety protocols
- Oversee sterile compounding procedures and quality assurance initiatives
- Handle third-party billing reconciliation and insurance verification processes
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 3 years experience in hospital or high-volume retail pharmacy
- Nevada State Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding USP 797 guidelines
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- BS in Pharmacy Technology or related field preferred
