Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications with 100% accuracy and efficiency
- Manage inventory control systems including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing with precision
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Prepare sterile compounds and IV admixtures under pharmacist supervision
- Lead customer service initiatives for prescription inquiries and patient education
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 3 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proven expertise in inventory management systems (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Valid California pharmacy technician license
- Basic IV certification preferred
