Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications with 100% accuracy following all regulatory protocols
- Supervise pharmacy operations during pharmacist breaks and weekends
- Train new technicians on inventory management and HIPAA compliance
- Manage automated dispensing systems and compound specialty medications
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain sterile compounding environments under USP 797 standards
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or NHA certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of DEA controlled substance handling
- CPR certification and immunization training preferred
- Ability to stand 8+ hours with occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
