Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify prescription medications with 100% accuracy
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Process insurance claims and manage billing operations
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of medication safety protocols
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
