Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with instrument passing and wound management
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless surgical workflows
- Train and mentor junior surgical tech staff
- Inventory and manage surgical equipment supply chain
- Document perioperative procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience with orthopedic or neurosurgery focus
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification
- Proven ability to maintain composure in high-pressure surgical environments
- Expertise in robotic surgical systems (e.g., da Vinci)
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/ANSI)
