Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with precision instrument handling
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce OSHA compliance protocols
- Train and mentor junior surgical technology staff
- Inventory and manage high-value surgical equipment
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless procedures
- Implement advanced sterilization techniques for specialty surgeries
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- 3+ years of experience in Level 1 trauma center OR
- BLS/CPR certification with current credentials
- Expertise in orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular surgeries
- Proven track record in sterile processing management
- Associates degree in Surgical Technology or equivalent
- Ability to work efficiently under high-pressure emergency situations
