Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic patient records
- Manage pharmacy inventory and order supplies efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Assist with immunizations and health screenings
- Maintain clean and organized pharmacy workspace
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential strongly preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS/1, Rx30)
- Strong attention to detail and medication safety knowledge
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Basic computer skills and typing proficiency (35+ WPM)
