Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, injections, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Accurately document patient information in electronic health records (EHR)
- Manage examination rooms ensuring proper sterilization and supply inventory
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
- Assist with administrative tasks including insurance verification and billing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Oklahoma Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or clinic setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
