Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Administer medications and vaccinations under provider supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation and inventory
- Coordinate patient flow between departments and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning
- Collaborate with nursing staff to optimize clinical workflows
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital settings
- BLS/CPR certification and phlebotomy proficiency
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology and sterile techniques
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods
