Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Manage exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory
- Coordinate patient education and discharge instructions
- Assist with scheduling and telehealth appointments
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- 1+ years of clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with EHR systems and medical terminology
- BLS/CPR certification required
- KY state certification for phlebotomy preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
