Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Perform vital sign checks, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision
- Manage electronic health records and maintain accurate documentation
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Administer injections and medications under physician supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with hospital staff to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- New York State license or registration as a Medical Assistant
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- CPR/BLS certification and HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Valid NY driver's license with reliable transportation
