Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring proper sterilization
- Administer injections, EKGs, and vital sign measurements
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in urgent care or clinic setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
