Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Administer medications and injections per physician orders
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile environments
- Electronic health records documentation and patient scheduling
- Handle patient phone triage and after-hours communication
- Inventory management and supply restocking
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program graduate or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Indiana Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent venipuncture and phlebotomy skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Electronic medical records proficiency (Epic experience a plus)
