Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration checks.
- Prepare patients for examination by the healthcare provider, ensuring privacy and comfort.
- Assist with minor medical procedures, injections, and phlebotomy as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and patient charts.
- Administer medications and document patient reactions accurately.
- Coordinate with the front desk to manage patient flow and scheduling efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and families, answering questions and addressing concerns.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a night shift role.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
