Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Obtain vital signs, administer medications as directed, and perform basic wound care under supervision.
- Phlebotomy: Draw blood samples and process them efficiently for laboratory analysis.
- Admin Support: Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, update electronic health records (EHR), and maintain accurate charts.
- Night Shift Operations: Assist in monitoring patient status, responding to call lights, and ensuring a safe environment during overnight hours.
- Coordination: Communicate effectively with providers and nursing staff regarding patient needs and changes in condition.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to hospital hygiene protocols and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA (National) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Skills: Proficient in phlebotomy, EKG, and basic medical procedures.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
- Licensure: Current BLS/ACLS certification required.
