Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and immunizations as per protocols
- Handle medical supplies inventory and equipment maintenance
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate billing and insurance verification processes
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification (current)
- Illinois state phlebotomy license
