Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and EKG procedures
- Assist providers with clinical exams and minor procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile exam rooms and equipment
- Administer injections and medications per provider orders
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Handle patient scheduling and insurance verification
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA
- Phlebotomy and ECG competency
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Pass background check and drug screening
