Responsibilities
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, ensuring accuracy.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with gowns, drapes, and proper positioning.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications, and prepare injections as directed by physicians.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and timely documentation.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and schedule specialist appointments to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sterility of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Greet patients and verify insurance information upon arrival.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be held.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate patient-centered approach.
- San Diego residency preferred for local candidates.
