Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with established protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in clinical status to ensure safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of patient care activities and progress notes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a high-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed during patient care.
