Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. You will assist physicians and nursing staff in a fast-paced clinical setting, ensuring patient comfort and maintaining accurate medical records.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient examinations, take vital signs, and document medical history accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting physicians and nurses.
- Assist with minor medical procedures and basic laboratory tests.
- Manage patient intake, scheduling appointments, and maintaining electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed by providers.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized examination environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or medical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient care.
- Valid Ohio Medical Assistant license.
