Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assistance: Prepare examination rooms and instruments for physicians; assist providers during patient exams as directed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient medical records and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Lab Work: Collect and process non-invasive laboratory specimens (blood, urine, etc.) following strict safety protocols.
- Communication: Relay important messages between patients and medical staff; answer phone inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus but not mandatory.
- Attitude: A genuine passion for patient care and a desire to learn within a clinical setting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
