Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, including medical history collection and vitals measurement.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting providers and ensuring comfort.
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccinations under strict physician supervision.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality.
- Assist in basic laboratory procedures, specimen handling, and point-of-care testing.
- Provide clear patient education regarding medications, procedures, and aftercare instructions.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA from an accredited program.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varying shifts as needed.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
