Responsibilities
Your Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with history taking, vitals, and hygiene measures.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries; perform basic laboratory tests and draw blood as directed.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, scheduling appointments, and managing incoming communications.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock medical supplies and examination room equipment to ensure readiness for daily operations.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to all hospital policies, infection control protocols, and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and privacy.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and other hospital staff to ensure seamless care transitions.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Certification: Current certification as a CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or NCMA (NHA) is preferred.
- Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems; strong computer skills; excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Character: Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
