Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with history taking, vitals, and hygiene measures.
  • Clinical Support: Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries; perform basic laboratory tests and draw blood as directed.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, scheduling appointments, and managing incoming communications.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and restock medical supplies and examination room equipment to ensure readiness for daily operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to all hospital policies, infection control protocols, and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and privacy.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
  • Certification: Current certification as a CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or NCMA (NHA) is preferred.
  • Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems; strong computer skills; excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
