Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, measure vital signs, and document medical histories accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Manage administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating Electronic Health Records (EHR), and verifying insurance information.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs under the direction of a nurse or physician.
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and maintain a clean, sterile environment.
- Provide patient education regarding medications and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure efficient patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or NCMA is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings as needed.
