Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests under the supervision of licensed providers.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize medical instruments, and maintain a clean, sanitized clinical environment.
- Administer injections and medications as authorized by the provider.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Medical Assisting required.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA (AAMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with EHR software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
