Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital sign checks and basic health screenings on patients.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor medical treatments.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out processes, including updating medical records.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Provide patient education on preventative care and treatment plans.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA privacy regulations and office safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Willingness to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a plus.
