Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Monitor patient status and report any changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Document patient care activities, vital signs, and progress in electronic medical records accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing School (Associate's or Bachelor's degree required).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
