Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify demographic information to ensure accurate medical records.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as height, weight, blood pressure, and temperature.
- Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for patient visits.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures as directed.
- Administer medications and vaccinations per physician orders and state regulations.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and coordinate specimen collection.
- Manage front-desk administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and answering calls.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CMAA) is preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital environment.
